Who you know. I recently realized that everything (school) and every job I have gotten into, I got because I knew someone. I wonder if I’m living the rest of my life like this. Easy. Enjoyable. Not the same.
The conversations had no substance other than the alcohol under each of our breaths, if any, at all. Cute only stayed in the moment it was spoken, and cynical silence sat until we bored ourselves to death. My managers minus one all got a little sentimental on me today when they pulled me to the back to talk. I guess they thought I was going to quit due to this incident I had with the head manager. I feel appreciated when they told me they valued me and think the world of me. I know I’m doing something right even if that bitch of a boss doesn’t like me.. everyone else does. I love it....
